AgriZone, set up at Embrapa Amazônia Oriental headquarters, established itself as one of the main meeting points for Brazilian agribusiness during COP30. The space is frequented by association leaders, influential producers, representatives of companies in the sector, as well as foreign visitors and people interested in better understanding the discussions involving agriculture. It is in this environment that Brazil showcases its strength in the field and actively participates in global conversations about the future of production.
In the debates held at AgriZone, one message was clear: Brazilian agribusiness already delivers sustainability, but it still needs to make these actions more visible, both to those working in the sector and to the external public. Often cited as one of the most polluting activities in the country, the agricultural sector uses the space to present panels, research, and data that demonstrate that this perception does not reflect the whole reality. The proposal is to promote a change in perspective based on information and transparency.
Technology and the use of data are also highlighted as allies of sustainable production. At AgriZone, the sector reinforces that it is possible to produce while conserving, presenting research, indicators, and technological paths capable of increasing sustainability. The goal is to show, with evidence, that agribusiness is already advancing in cleaner practices and that there is still great potential for evolution.
The international perception of Brazilian agribusiness is also on the agenda. During the meetings, Marcelo Fiadeiro, Secretary of Rural Development at the Ministry of Agriculture, shared that other countries recognize Brazil's ambition to build production systems that are better adapted to climate needs. In this context, COP30 is consolidating itself as a strategic showcase, where the country can demonstrate what it has already achieved and what it can still deliver for climate-aligned agriculture.
Pará's leading role in the transition to more sustainable models is another key point. Adepará has an active presence at AgriZone, participating in roundtable discussions, panels, and meetings with international authorities and organizations, such as OMSA and the Norwegian government. This action reinforces the state's role in building a new agenda for agriculture in the Amazon, highlighting that Pará brings together technology, agricultural health, and the capacity to lead this process.
