Fonseca Brasil and André Serrão join forces to form a new legal powerhouse in the Amazon

Merger marks the beginning of a new era for corporate law practice in the North region, with more than 100 professionals and national presence

The legal market in the North of the country is experiencing a historic milestone. During an event held at the Radisson Maiorana Jr Hotel in Belém, the merger between two of the most respected law firms in the region was formalized — Fonseca Brasil Advogados and André Serrão Advogados Associados. The union gives rise to Fonseca Brasil Serrão Advogados, a new force in Brazilian corporate law practice, which is born with a team of more than 100 professionals and operations in four states: Pará, Amapá, São Paulo, and the Federal District.

According to Eduardo Brasil, partner of the new firm, the merger represents a strategic step within a planned growth project, based on trust and complementarity of practice areas.

"Fonseca Brasil is recognized for its work in Corporate Law, Tax Law, and the business world. André Serrão, in turn, has been a reference for two decades in corporate Labor Law. We decided to join forces to accelerate our growth and consolidate a structure capable of competing at the national level, while maintaining our Amazonian essence and commitment to excellence," highlights Eduardo.

Partner Adelvan Oliverio reinforces that the move was the result of a trajectory of partnership and professional affinity built over recent years.

"We worked together on some cases since 2024 and realized how similar our ways of thinking and acting were. Beyond the friendship between the teams, there was great harmony in how we view modern corporate law practice. Now, our challenge is to integrate more than one hundred professionals around a solid culture of collaboration and results," explains Adelvan.

During the event, the new firm promoted a series of integration activities conducted by organizational psychology professionals, with the aim of strengthening the internal environment and aligning values and purpose.

To symbolize this new stage, Fonseca Brasil Serrão will inaugurate new headquarters in Belém, located in a modern business center. The space was designed to reflect the firm's contemporary identity, with a focus on technology, innovation, and employee well-being.

With 103 professionals, including 79 lawyers, the firm now manages a portfolio of more than 13,000 active cases, consolidating itself as one of the largest legal structures in the North of the country, with national-scale operations and special focus on medium and large companies.
